VERSE 1 God of creation There at the start Before the beginning of time With no point of reference You spoke to the dark And fleshed out the wonder of light
CHORUS 1 And as You speak A hundred billion galaxies are born In the vapour of Your breath the planets form If the stars were made to worship so will I I can see Your heart in everything You’ve made Every burning star A signal fire of grace If creation sings Your praises so will I
VERSE 2 God of Your promise You don’t speak in vain No syllable empty or void For once You have spoken All nature and science Follow the sound of Your voice
CHORUS 2 And as You speak A hundred billion creatures catch Your breath Evolving in pursuit of what You said If it all reveals Your nature so will I I can see Your heart in everything You say Every painted sky A canvas of Your grace If creation still obeys You so will I
BRIDGE If the stars were made to worship so will I If the mountains bow in reverence so will I If the oceans roar Your greatness so will I For if everything exists to lift You high so will I If the wind goes where You send it so will I If the rocks cry out in silence so will I If the sum of all our praises still falls shy Then we’ll sing again a hundred billion times
VERSE 3 God of salvation You chased down my heart Through all of my failure and pride On a hill You created The light of the world Abandoned in darkness to die
CHORUS 3 And as You speak A hundred billion failures disappear Where You lost Your life so I could find it here If You left the grave behind You so will I I can see Your heart in everything You’ve done Every part designed in a work of art called love If You gladly chose surrender so will I I can see Your heart Eight billion different ways Every precious one A child You died to save If You gave Your life to love them so will I
TAG Like You would again a hundred billion times But what measure could amount to Your desire You’re the One who never leaves the one behind
Throughout history there have been times where certain groups of people have been slaughtered. A person’s life was devalued according to their race or religion. Even today, news sources say that China is slaughtering the Uyghurs.
The Death Toll
Far surpassing in number are the deaths of babies in the womb. According to the World Health Organization, there are about 40-50 million abortions every year worldwide. Per the CDC, there were 619,591 abortions in 2018 and since 1979, 63 million.
The abortion industry makes hundred of millions of dollars per year by selling abortions and receiving tax dollars of citizens from the government. Per Life News, Joe Biden gave the abortion industry $467.8 Billion dollars.
Upon aborting the baby, depending on what stage, a tube is used to suck out all the fluid. In later stages, an abortionist may have to pull the baby apart limb by limb, first sticking a needle to the head, then sucking up the rest of the pieces inside making sure no parts are left behind. All the while, the alive baby inside is dodging or fighting for it’s life.
There’s a movie called, Unplanned, a true story about a lady named Abby Johnson who worked for Planned Parenthood, moved to the top and after seeing an abortion take place on the monitor her whole perspective changed. She watched a baby inside the womb fight for its life. Shortly after, she left the abortion industry and is now a pro-life advocate.
When Life Begins
Pro-Choice people like to say “my body, my choice.” However, there’s another body involved, which is the body of a baby being formed inside. According to science, a new life is formed at fertilization. Scientist have captured a flash of light that occurs upon conception.
“The argument that this unique human being present in the mother’s womb from the moment of fertilization is a part of the mother’s body until sometime later in gestation is, from a scientific viewpoint, bizarre. What this argument would imply is that human beings reproduce by a process of budding, which is a process by which a new individual organism forms from a part of the mother’s body. This is the means of reproduction of some species of worms but it is most certainly not a means reproduction by human beings. This argument used by abortion proponents that an embryo or fetus is a part of the mother’s body until a certain point of gestation is scientific nonsense. When the argument is made by a scientist, it represents either scientific incompetence or deliberate deception. It is the responsibility of the scientific community to make it clear to the public that this argument is junk science and is obviously used merely to defend the morality of killing a young human being in the womb.”
Even if Roe v. Wade is overturned, women will still have a choice. Before pregnancy there’s abstinence, birth-control and protection. After pregnancy, there’s giving the baby up for adoption.
Overturning Roe v. Wade will still give the exemption of abortion if keeping the unborn baby will cause major physical harm to the mother. It would be tough for those women that got pregnant by the force of a man to keep it. Maybe the court would make that exemption or not, however just because the father was a monster, it doesn’t mean that the child would be as well. There are numerous people that were conceived through rape that have made a major positive impact in society like Jesse Jackson and others.
Pro-choice people seem to believe that a woman’s choice to terminate the life of a baby growing inside of her in empowering, yet it only shows fear. Power is of the Lord enabling a woman to overcome the fear of the unknown, to examine the challenges and obstacles, yet find ways to make it work, seek resources and be the hero of a voiceless precious life inside that’s counting on you to protect it. Power is pushing through the tough times and coming out alive and praising God on the other side. Looking back at a point of life that seemed hopeless, but coming out on the other side blessed and victorious.
Thinking about what Mary, the mother of Jesus had to go through. If people found out that she was engaged, yet she became pregnant and Joseph was not the father, she would have been stoned to death. At the same time, King Herod was looking around for the location of baby Jesus wanting to kill him and sent three wise men to search for his location.
16 Then Herod, when he saw that he had been tricked by the wise men, became furious, and he sent and killed all the male children in Bethlehem and in all that region who were two years old or under, according to the time that he had ascertained from the wise men.
Joseph and Mary had to flee from city to city before and after Jesus was born. Mary had to give birth in a barn. You’d think that God would make it easy for her, but she kept her faith and carried through with her calling and God kept them safe.
Even if a baby is given up for adoption, at least you gave the her/him a chance to live and someone an opportunity to be a mom or a dad.
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.
Depending on the source, the idea or definition of love can vary. From childhood, to being a teenager and into adulthood. From inside our home to outside of it, the depth of what love is can be so broad leaving one forever seeking out the true definition.
As a child growing up in America, I was exposed to many Disney movies and for those familiar with it, most of those movies were about a princess and a prince who met, had “love at first sight,” then got married and lived happily ever after. All those stories plant a seed in us to carry on in life believing there’s that love at first sight and happily ever after, neglecting the dynamics of two people that come from different backgrounds coming together and trying to become one.
It is usually a walk-in-the-park at the beginning, smooth sailing on the intense curiosity of the other person, but after most of the mystery is gone, things begin to change, reality sets in and you begin to look at your life rather than the other person. Maybe some personal issues start to come up, then the past, then you begin to see the bigger impact that the environment that you grew up in has on your view of what love is.
Maybe that environment was full of anger, bitterness, sweeping things under the table or never coming to resolutions, but silent treatments, temporary or permanent separations or maybe love in the household had conditions attached to it. Then, stepping outside of the house, the source for defining love may have been through movies watched or music listened to with friends or in the car. If it’s not happily ever after with Disney, maybe it’s defined through the explicit lyrics of a song making some believe that love has something to do with, on clean terms, sleeping.
Sometimes lines are drawn when it comes to loving someone, which is usually followed by, “I will or won’t love you if…” told by a significant other or by a parent. I can still remember getting off of the plane with my sister and my Mom telling us that she didn’t love us because we were misbehaving on the plane and not listening to her. There were other times that my parents would make us feel unloved because we did or didn’t do what they wished so I grew up believing that love was conditional. With all the movies and music around me, my definition of love was all the more tainted.
It wasn’t until Jesus came into my life, that I finally found the meaning of love. As I read His word, the Bible and spent time with the Lord in prayer, the meaning of love became clear. His love is unconditional, pure and so powerful. He is merciful and gracious. Nothing we do can ever separate us from His love.
32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?…..35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?…. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
He is the definition of love and the expression of it was when Jesus was nailed to the cross for our sins. He gave himself fully to us, nothing held back. Although we may not see the value in ourselves, God sees otherwise. Who better to know us than the Creator who created us for love. He is the pure definition of love.
He who does not love, does not know God, for God is love.
The act of love is defined in 1 Corinthians. In most versions, the word, “love” is used, but the old King James version uses the word, “charity”. It is a good source to compare our own acts of love and where our heart stands.
4 Charity suffers long, and is kind; charity envies not; charity vaunts not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil; 6 Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Charity never fails: ….. 13 And now abides faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
Without knowing what love is, who love is or how to love, how do we love others? It starts with finding love. With all the laws, Jesus says that the greatest commandment can fill all. When you love God, He will begin to fill you with His love, then you will be able to love others. His greatest commandment is this:
36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” 37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
We are all valuable in Christ as He deemed us worthy to die for all of us. All of us, including what the world thinks is the worst. This is love, that He gave His all. If God is love, then the more you get to know Him, the more you know love. The next time you find yourself feeling unloved, look up at the sky and know that God is there and that you are loved by Him. If you want to know Him, just ask Jesus to show up. Believe and receive.
Whenever the word religious is used to describe someone, it usually implies that he or she is good or strives to be a good person. If I tell someone I go to church or if I talk about God, they label me as religious, but I would disagree. I would disagree with someone calling me a good person. I’m just a sinner saved by grave. I don’t go to church to be a good person. As we need food, air, shelter and water for our physical bodies, the spirit inside of us needs an encounter with God that brings healing and fulfillment.
If we think we can’t be in His presence if we’re sinners, it’s God’s presence that delivers us. I remember going to a miracle crusade in Anaheim, California back in 2003. The stadium was packed and before the doors opened, the line wrapped around the entire building. When the presence of God grew so thick, people were falling out in the presence. The youth were so hungry to get on stage and experience a touch from God. They ran up there, racing with each other. My cousin’s friend who never shed a tear, started to cry as soon as the service started and could not stop for entire four hours. When God’s presence comes, healing comes.
That lack of love can do major damage to someone. Failed by the ones that we expected to love us unconditionally and keep us safe, some rebel and carry around hatred in their heart or a lack of confidence. God can heal those areas. Parent’s don’t always say the right things to their kids. I didn’t understand the depth of unconditional love until Jesus stepped into my life and experienced the love of God. He gave His all on the cross as in taking a bullet for us.
7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
1 John 4:7-10
Whenever the topic of God comes up, we want to run away. When it comes to drawing close to God, some feel that they need to be good in order to do so. Adam and Eve, feeling ashamed, hid themselves from God after they ate of the tree that God told them not to eat from. That didn’t stop God from wanting to be in communication with them. It seems as if some feel that they need to be good, perfect or pure in order to come to God, but the Word says, to come as you are. You don’t need to change yourself before you come to God, rather, come to Him and He will change you.
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
God says come as you are. You don’t have to be perfect, good, pure or innocent. God heals the broken and brings restoration. Give God all your burdens, anger, shame, guilt and pain. God gives beauty for ashes. Come as a sinner and He will wipe you clean. He is a gracious and merciful God. In His presence, it is safe to be vulnerable and messed up. It is safe to surrender your burdens into the hands of God. Let His love heal the very depths of your aching soul.
There’s a man in Australia who claims to be a reincarnate Jesus and calls his girlfriend a reincarnate Mary. However, he’s not the only one who’s claiming to be Jesus. There’s another man in Russia also claiming to be Jesus. The worrisome part is that people believe and follow these guys.
The whole “human being acting as if their god” doesn’t stop there. If it’s not pretending to be Jesus, it may be some man with a long white beard with long white hair wearing an orange robe speaking non-sense to a crowd. Maybe the non-sense sounds philosophical at first, but if you were to record it and go back and listen to it, it makes no sense at all.
Some of these spiritual teachers speak out ideas that sound legitimate, maybe it’s something simple as letting go of greed or not being obsessed with money or materialism or having a balance in life. But it’s very surprising to see so many people following someone who pretends to be a god, meanwhile the guy might be a perv manipulates women into sleeping with him.
I think that the main lesson here is that human beings can never be god. There’s only one God. Remember in the book of Genesis when the serpent in the garden tempted Eve into eating the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The serpent tempted Eve into eating it by telling her that it would make her like god.
For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
Even in heaven, Lucifer was a beautiful angel who lead the choir of angels. Filled up with pride from the praises of others he thought he can take over God’s throne. Lucifer was thrown down to earth. Thereafter, his name changed to Satan and ate dirt. The book of Isiah in the Bible ushers his former name as “Day Star, son of Dawn.”
Your pomp is brought down to Sheol, the sound of your harps; maggots are laid as a bed beneath you, and worms are your covers. 12 “How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low! 13 You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north; 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’ 15 But you are brought down to Sheol, to the far reaches of the pit.
Secret societies like the Illuminati believe in the illumination of man or the exhalation of, as so do Satanist believe that human beings can be their own god.
Maybe we’re not trying to be gods, but possibly wanting to be worshipped, but sadly, humans worship other human beings. A little admiration shouldn’t do any harm, but when it’s taken to a point of worship or idolatry, it starts to become unhealthy. Maybe idolizing a famous person could still be safe being that they’re far out of reach and it’s admiration from a distance. But if you start trying to follow a famous person who’s life is destructive, you might fall into a pit.
Maybe we don’t idolize a famous athlete, singer or actor, but a person who we may think is a symbol of holiness. Then we assume that person to be perfect and whatever he or she says goes. Take for instance the Pope who’s a symbol of religion and holiness, one that speaks to God on behalf of his followers. We may think that since he’s the Pope he’s perfect and never sins. We would be forgetting the fact that he’s still human, meaning he is still tempted and is still capable of being corrupt.
“The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?
Even televangelist Pastors can be a disappointment. Some may start out with the right intentions, to serve God and serve others, but after all the praise, fame and prosperity can loose their direction and forget about the original purpose for the church. They are still in human flesh living in a world full of temptation and corruption.
It’s important to take a step back and reevaluate. Sometimes the Lord allows certain events to happen to humble us because as human beings, we are incapable or being in a position of worship and not loosing our minds over it. Pride takes over, then the fall happens, just as what happened to Lucifer.
Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.
Putting so much faith in a human being to be perfect, good and walk up right, all the time, can lead to major disappointment or straying into the wrong path. Humans make mistakes, no one is perfect, which is one of the reasons why forgiveness is so important.
Worshipping someone or something to a point that it revolves around your life or makes you dependent on it for your identity can be hazardous. Imagine if that one thing or person disappears, like money or an emotional tie to a person leaves you, you might feel left with nothing. You’re identity is stripped away and you might feel like life is no longer worth living.
Giving one human an immense amount of power can be dangerous if their heart is not in the right place, like the dictators of the world that take away the freedom of the people or even their lives due to their religious beliefs.
Only God, Jehovah, meaning, the great “I Am” deserves the worship and praise of His creation. He’s never been a dictator. He allowed the bad tree to be placed in the garden. Without it, there’s no ability to choose between right or wrong. He doesn’t force anyone to change their ways. Every human being has a choice to repent and follow Him or live for Him. We all have a choice to surrender the control of a situation in our lives to Him. His heart is as the love of a Father with nothing but love and good intentions, even during hard times. He never dies so He will never leave you. Worshipping God is like filling the empty tank in your soul, it replenishes and strengthens.
Technology is becoming so much more advanced and paired with the internet, it’s become a dependency. I look back to the time when I did not carry a cell phone. The only technology I carried with me was a pager. Then cell phones became popular, only being used for phone calls. Now that I can take an internet connection with me wherever I go, it’s difficult not to have a smart phone.
When I purchased my first smart phone, which was the iphone 4s, I filled my phone with so many apps. After a while, I realized that I only needed a few, just enough to fill up the home screen. The most helpful app has been maps. I can be anywhere, find a place I need to go like the gas station or the closest coffee shop and get there using my phone. I would never want to go back to following directions off of a piece of paper.
Technology has definitely helped to improve our lives or at least, make it easier, but is there a line to be drawn on how dependent we should be on technology? This brings to mind, alexa by amazon or siri on the iphone. Some people are so dependent on alexa that they have their whole house connected to its capabilities, such as security cameras, turning on the lights, playing music and locking the doors.
Aside from the convenience of having so much information at the palm of your hands for your own benefit, unfortunately someone else is benefiting from collecting your information and selling it to companies to market products to the user. Some companies go so far as to track your travels, where you go, what time or what conversation you had with someone. I saw a video recently about a couple that had their house dependent on alexa. They were having a conversation about the floors of their house. Turns out their conversation was unknowingly recorded and sent to a friend of theirs. Now, alexa is unplugged and out of their house.
While driving, one can ask siri a question, given that they have an iphone and siri will answer. Siri can give directions, find the closest gas station, schedule an event on your calendar, and answer a question one would type on a search using the internet. It’s like having your own personal assistant, on your phone.
If you’ve ever wondered how you all of a sudden you receive an advertisement for something that you were just talking about, you could have been recorded. If you use Siri, it’s tracking and recording you, just check out the settings under Siri and privacy for each app. I previously had a google email account and I would use google maps on my phone, then I came to a page that had all the information on where I traveled to, the routes and what time. After that, I deleted my account and never used google maps again. Even when you browse through youtube or google, if you are logged in, then all that information is being recorded, what you searched for so that the right advertisements will come your way. I now use duckduckgo and firefox focus for privacy reasons.
It seems, every time I have to sign up for something new online, there’s always an option to sign in with google, facebook or apple. It’s just another way for these companies to collect more information from people. How about the latest cars that are coming out that are self-driving and can easily connect to the internet? It wouldn’t surprise me if that would also be collecting information from its user.
It worries me how far these companies are going with our information and how dependent we are becoming on technology and the internet. If we are already getting our privacy breached with the technology in our homes, in our purse or pocket, image if it were inserted underneath our skin. People are already getting microchips implanted underneath their skin to open doors, pay for products, start their car, unlock their phones and now, in Sweden, as a vaccine passport. I thought only animals should be tracked or chipped, now we are the animals.
China already has a point system in place to keep track of its citizens. There are cameras all over the streets that record people by facial recognition and establish points based on their actions. If points are low, they are limited to travel and do other things. If China is going on a digital currency and people access their bank account with facial recognition, image how much more control the CCP can have over their citizens?
We already have smart phones that unlock with facial recognition and plans of the U.S. having its own digital currency, along with the rest of the world. We also have an unconstitutional mandate in our country that punishes the UN-vaccinated, limiting them to their own human rights. Vaccine microchips are not too far away from reality in this country. All we need is an evil dictator to rule our country and create more mandates that violate our freedom, take away our constitutional rights, violate our personal protection and privacy and push microchips on all of us with the help of the media to make it look like a great thing or monetary persuasion. With the chip and facial recognition, we can all be controlled and tracked down easily and with the help of self-driving cars, we can be held hostage in our cars and taken to a place against our own will. It’s a scary thought, but look at what’s happening around the world. Even more frightening is thinking about the evil dictators of the past, what they have done and how they achieved their goals with the help of their own people.
15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.
When I was in college, I remember coming home one day and seeing my Mom on the couch in deep thought. She said something to me that day that stuck with me until today. As I sat down on the couch next to her, she began telling me what was on her mind. As she gazed at the fish swimming around in the tank, she brought up an analogy of the fish and God. She pondered, if a human wanted to be able to communicate with the fish, he or she would have to become a fish, just as God, looking down at the earth, would have to become human flesh. According to the Bible, this is what happened. It was prophesied about in the old testament and came to pass as described in the new testament.
Most of the prophesy about Jesus coming into the world in the old testament is in the book of Isaiah, written in the years of 742–701 B.C. It is also found scattered throughout other books in the old testament.
“14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”
The name Immanuel, in Hebrew means, God with us. In the book of Matthew in the new testament, written around 60-70 A.D this prophesy comes to pass. Jesus came down from heaven to earth in human form for a purpose.
“1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3
It is easy to question, why God would want to come down from His throne in heaven, be in the form of weakened flesh subject to suffering, rejection and the pain of being flogged, hung on a cross, nails in his hands and feet, all the while, being mocked by a crowd yelling, “crucify him”. Jesus healed many people, even raised people from the dead, yet He went through with the crucifixion. Even, before Jesus was born, His suffering was prophesied in the old testament in the book of Isaiah.
The book of Genesis reveals the presence of a cunning serpent roaming around in paradise waiting to cause God’s cherished creation to sin. After Adam and Eve sinned they hid from God. That was the start of sin separating humans from God.
“2 but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.”
Sinfulness continued even after the flood in Noah’s days. In the old testament, people would sacrifice animals as a cleansing for their sins and burning thereafter. Depending on the sin, there were specific animals that needed to be cut for the shedding of blood as an atonement for their sin.
“With the blood of the sin offering of atonement he shall make atonement for it once in the year throughout your generations.”
In the new testament, rather than having to shed the blood of an animal for atonement, Jesus became the sacrifice for our sins of the past and the present. He is known as an unblemished lamb, one without sin.
29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
Jesus lived a short time on earth, but He fulfilled His purpose. He was the Lamb sacrificed on the cross with His blood shed for all mankind.
“28 After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” 29 Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. 30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.”
On Christmas day, God brought into the world a gift of love for all humanity, the one that would reunite us with our Creator; the one that would break darkness off our lives; the one that would take His powerful love to the cross. It was God saying, “yes, I love you this much, you are worth every flogging stripe and every piercing nail, I will carry your sins on the cross so you can be free and we can be together again.”
The little baby Jesus on a manger that Kings bowed down to was a miracle, love manifested that night under the bright star and that same Spirit of God lives today.
“For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
